Archiving Analyst

DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT AND TASKS:
 
Statement of Work:
The rate of growth of the Navy ERP database, along with concerns for system performance and cost savings, makes it imperative to reduce the database size as quickly as possible.  The Navy ERP database exceeded recommended usage in April 2020 as was previously projected.  The scale up of the ERP database provide a short reprieve.  With so little time available, archiving with a phased or agile approach is recommended, though the Navy is open to considering alternative approaches and methods.
 
Task Description:
 
This position is expected to prepare working papers, workshop materials, coordinating attendee follow ups
  • Support the preparation and management of Workshop Materials
  • Assist with the management and resolution of Workshop parking lot items
  • Monitor and support the closing of follow on inquiries from Workshop Participants
  • Liaison between business stakeholders and SAP Data Archiving Team for solution design issues and requirements clarification
  • Support issue resolution.
 
Required skills/Level of Experience per the LCAT :
 
Four years experience in data management operations; two years experience implementing master data concepts and processes; and two years experience in data archiving techniques.
 
Bachelors Degree in computer science, information systems management, mathematics, engineering, or other relevant discipline. An additional four years of relevant experience may be substituted for the Bachelors Degree.
 
Additional Skills not included in the LCAT:
 
Operational skills
  • Experienced in requirements assessment for SAP Data Archiving
  • Experienced in the design and delivery of business processes for SAP solutions
  • Previous or existing DoD Clearance a plus
 
Demonstrated skills in requirements evaluation and SAP processes analysis in the areas of:
  • Alignment of business requirements with SAP Standard Functionality for Data Archiving
  • Documenting business requirements and preparing Process Definition Documents
  • Strong interpersonal skills, written and verbal
  • Proactively gather data for and reporting issues in support of PMO activities
